I've been long admiring old ivory dominoes, but I must say I like these even better, with creamy white painted tin faces inlaid over ebony wood, and gorgeously irregular...they really look like a painting! The back sides, featuring a hunting dog in slight relief, are pretty great too.

I believe these date to the 1920-30s, and they come in their original box, which features very faint text on the underside of the top, which I can't quite read. The set is complete and in very good shape; there are just a couple that show a little damage, but no real matter. The box is pretty beaten up, though it still snaps closed at front and holds them safely together just fine. I'd probably find an unlidded box to display them in, though, so I could admire them all the time!

Each domino measures 2" x 1" x 7/16". Box measures 7 3/4" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/4".

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0833/4121/3921/files/ebony-and-painted-tin-old-double-sixes-dominoes-set-complete_1.png?v=1793816861
